Total Conversation means a standardized concept where you can use video, text and speech at the same time.
Total Conversation fits people with disabilities. Deaf, hearing impaired, deafadults and deafblind have especially great usage of Total Conversation.
Total Conversation is standardized in the 3G-mobile worlds organization 3GPP (http://www.3gpp.org) and in the world of telecom standard organization ITU (http://www.itu.int).
It is also standardized in the world of Internet standard organization IETF (http://www.ietf.org). The 3GPP standard have also been acknowledge by ETSI.
The EU Parlament demands in resolution B4-0985/98 that all equipment for text and video communication for deaf people should be compatible. Total Conversation is in practice the answer on this demand.
The EU-commission group COCOM for application of the directives for electronic communication have a working group INCOM for available communication. They have suggested that Total Conversation with SIP will be prioritized standard for available communication.
